Any data file imported into the system or created from a Europa Notebook is saved to your Atlassian instance. (It is saved as an attachment to the Project.) Europa Notebooks does not persist your data on its servers. A dataset may be read into the memory of a Notebook Server to work on that dataset; however, the Notebook Server is destroyed at the end of your editing session. The only data saved is data written back to Atlassian using the AtlasFS library (Atlas File System). |
Exploring a dataset
Clicking on a dataset link takes you to a detail page. Here you can see descriptive information, and, depending on the file type, access exploratory tools and summary statistics.
Tabular files such as CSV and TSV can be explored using the Data Explorer.

The Data Explorer shows a table by default. The table view supports filtering, sorting, and pagination through the dataset. On the right-hand side are controls to access graphical views of the data.

The Data Explorer Tool changes based on file type. For example, nested file formats such as JSON, YAML, and XML show a tool to explore hierarchical relationships.

Edit dataset information
Dataset information such as name and description can be edited using the Dialog opened from the ‘Edit’ button, or inline by clicking on the title or description.

For example, clicking on the description opens an edit control to update the description. To save, click the “check-mark” button, or to cancel without saving changes, click the close ('X') button.
